Meet François

I'm a professional guitarist and educator with more than 25 years of teaching experience in France and New York. I've spent my life exploring music across cultures — from flamenco and Latin music to rock, classical, folk, and world music — and bring that experience into lessons built around each student's interests and goals. I'm based in Park Slope and teach children and adults in English, French, and Spanish, in my studio, at students' homes, and online.

There isn’t one path that works for every student. Lessons are adapted to your level, interests, goals, and pace, while making sure the essential skills develop along the way.

STRONG FOUNDATIONS

Rhythm, right-hand technique, coordination, listening, and a clear understanding of the instrument are part of the process from the beginning.

MUSIC FROM DAY ONE

You don’t have to wait until you’ve “learned guitar” to make music. Songs, rhythms, melodies, and accompaniment are part of learning from the very first lessons.
