Hi, I’m Francois Wiss.
I’ve been playing guitar for over 40 years. It’s always been my passion, and I come from a very musical family. I taught full-time for 10 years in France—five years with younger children aged 5 to 10 and another five years as a middle school music teacher. In the U.S., I have been teaching private classes for 20 years.
I’m also a performing artist and have played—and continue to play—at some of the most iconic clubs in New York City, including The Blue Note, Cafe Wha?, B.B. King Blues Club, Groove, City Vineyard, City Winery, The Rainbow Room, Nublu, Jules Bistro, Anyway Cafe, KGB, Highline Ballroom, Subrosa, Bonafide, and more.
